I had the privilege of spending four days at the Baja Club Hotel in La Paz, Mexico this winter, and it was one of my favorite travel experiences to date. As a destination wedding photographer, I spend considerable time traveling domestically and internationally. It’s absolutely one of my favorite perks of the job. Every so often, I build a personal vacation onto my destination weddings, and that’s exactly how I came to find the Baja Club. I first came across the boutique hotel in this Conde Nast article. I was immediately intrigued by the hotel’s unique architecture, sprawling gardens, and proximity to the water (it is nestled along the Sea of Cortez). I’m pleased to say that these features were even more spectacular in person than I could have imagined. The service was unparalleled. The food was delectable. And the water was the clearest I’ve seen outside of the Mediterranean. I documented my stay for the hotel entirely on 35mm and medium format film. I hope these images convey just how special this space is. I am already planning my return.
